BRANCH MANAGER REQUIRED FOR A CLOTHING COMPANY IN PINETOWN / MARIAN HILL AREA

RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Management
 
    • Handle/resolve customer complaints at Branch level and escalate to  Sales Manager/Merchandising Manager if the issue cannot be resolved.
    • Attend to the showroom / display of samples and new catalogue items.
    • Keep consistent contact with clients through visiting them (weekly visiting plan), and through engaging with them when they visit the branch to forge healthy relations with Rolando clients.
    • Manage and follow up with Sales Co-Ordinator’s on:
    • Outstanding Orders Picked and not invoiced.
    • Backorders.
    • Orders in Editing & not actioned after 1 day.
    • Engaging with campaigns and communications rollouts from Head Office and promote these with the branch team and clients.
 
Inventory Management
 
    • Bulk stock Request Control – to ensure that the branch maintains a healthy stock level which should be at 20% of Head Office or lower due to capacity.
    • Stock Control – management overview to ensure that staff are following process advised by Head Office and correct procedures followed.
    • Stock Takes – group goal to achieve 2 cycle counts every financial period.
    • Audit preparation in sync with group on plan.
    • Inter-Branch transfer request acceptance should be within 2 days from receipt.
    • Inter-Branch Request must be followed up daily.
    • Cut-off times on request must be adhere too. Do not promise customers without confirming with sending branch if timeline can be achieved.
    • Queries resolution, Managers must ensure any queries raised to them feedback is given timeously.
    • Managers must ensure staff conduct proper investigation before requesting any adjustments (part of stock control process).
    • Managers approving credit notes must ensure correct warehouse are selected and validity of returns (refer to returns policy).
 
Warehouse Management
 
    • Manage all warehouse functions.
    • Guide team in problem solving.
    • Lead the Supervisor and build teamwork.
    • Mediate problems between customers and staff.
    • Improve warehouse productivity.
    • Allocate daily job functions: stock counts, housekeeping, storage.
    • Ensure Receiving & Delivery functions are done in accordance with SOP’s.
    • Ensure Security of the stock and control of warehouse access.
 
 
Financial Management
 
    • Control and maintain the petty cash spend in accordance with budget set by Head Office. This spend will need to be reconciled on a monthly basis.  Any spend in excess of budget, will require pre-approval by Senior HOD.
    • Control extraordinary spend of the branch.  All spend relating to Staff Welfare, Customer Expenses and Casual Wages will require pre-approval by the Senior HOD.
    • Manage Salespersons and ensure that credit balances on all customers, especially COD customers, are checked before collections are requested to ensure no credit balances persist.
    • Manage and control company COD policy so that stock is not released ahead of COD payment.
 
Team Management
 
    • Recruit, onboard, and manage employees in their roles in the branch in accordance with the Collies Tribe philosophy and group people processes.
    • Ensure that all employees are loaded on the clocking system, and clock in and out daily – monitor attendance and time keeping.
    • Ensure that all employee documentation, contracts are in place for new joiners.
    • Address discipline and performance issues in collaboration with the HR representative, and in accordance with company policy.
    • Uphold company HR policy and procedures in the branch.
