CMT QUALITY CONTROLLER (Ladieswear)

Purpose of the job
- To ensure orders manufactured at CMT factories are of the highest standards to meet customer requirements and provide technical assistance to CMT Factories.
Responsibilities
- Ensure orders at CMT Factories meet customer requirements – achieve customer “A” rating – no store returns, rejects, cancelled orders due to poor quality.
- Monitor quality standards of laundered garments from internal and external laundries
- Conduct first, interim and final audits to achieve required quality standard
- Trial runs completed timeously, checked and approved before cutting
- Final audits carried out timeously to prevent delays in deliveries
- Provide technical assistance to CMT Factories and ensure Quality problems are solved timeously avoiding delays in production
- Ensure documentation are correct according to customer requirements
- Oversee bulk production samples meet with customer specification and delivery dates
- Build and establish relationships with CMT Factories & QA departments
- Must be prepared to travel to Metro and non-metro areas and outlying areas such as Swaziland, South Coast, Newcastle, Isithebe etc.
Requirements / Qualifications
- Matric
- Qualification in Pattern Making and grading an advantage
- Code 8 Driver’s licence
- Must have own car
Experience
- Experience in Garment construction & engineering
