VACANCY:  DYE HOUSE MANAGER  – CLOTHING – DURBAN
 
Requirements
    • 5 years’ experience in the fabric dyeing process
    • Excellent knowledge and experience in working with different types of fabrics
    • Have a good eye for colour
    • Accurate and able to solve problems
    • Decision maker
 
Responsibilities (Amongst others)
    • Colour matching
    • Laboratory experience and pipetting is essential
    • Establishing recipes
    • Colour matching
    • Ensure fabrics are dyed correctly and meets customers’ requirements
    • Measure out dyes and chemicals using recipe sheet
    • Compare strength and shade of dye ensuring it matches the sample
    • Carry out tests for analysis of chemicals, colour matching and colourfastness
    • Clean equipment and maintain lab when required
    • Working with Acid dyeing and Nylon substrates would be preferential
