Quality Assurance Manager: Ladieswear

Company North of Durban is looking to hire a Quality Assurance Manager to manage quality in ladieswear.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure orders meet customer requirements – achieve customer “A” rating
- Manage quality auditors to reduce repairs and rejects
- Oversee laboratory and ensure fabric meets required standard and specification
- Monitor the quality standard of laundered garments (Internal and External Laundries)
- Monitor quality at all stages of production and solve problems timeously.
- Provide technical assistance to merchants and sample department at product development stage in respect of garment engineering and quality standards
- Monitor claims on materials and garments by making recommendations on faulty materials and finished goods
- Monitor completion of trial runs and style meetings
- Build and establish relationships with QA departments
- Performance management & Training and development of staff
REQUIREMENTS
QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma in Clothing Production, Design or Pattern Making an advantage
Experience
- Managerial Skills – At least 5 years’ experience in Quality Management in the Clothing Industry
- Pattern making and grading Knowledge and experience
- Experience in Garment construction & garment engineering
